The Power of Communication

Chaired by

Faye Warren

My name is Faye Warren and I am the Leadership Chair for People Who Use AAC for The International Society for Augmentative & Alternative Communication.  One of my duties is to organize the 2011 and 2012 International AAC Awareness Month task force in the United States. We are focused on raising the awareness of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and to inform the public about the many ways in which people may communicate using augmentative & alternative communication.

It is our hope to organize relays in cities around the globe to spread awareness of multimodal communication impairments in adults and children with disabilities of all different types.  The name of relay is The Power of Communication. This event will take place every October starting in 2011.  The relays will be held at high school or college tracks and the money raised will go to local organizations to help support awareness of AAC.

Would you be interested in sponsoring our cause by donating your time, financial assistance, or snacks and beverages?  It would help the enhancement of personal life skills through communication devices by supporting access to inclusive early education for children, and families with disabilities in a world of possibilities.  In addition to helping the AAC community, it will also help and enhance your business or organization locally and nationwide.

I would really appreciate this so much. I will look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely Yours,

Faye Warren
