How to Help

The work of the AAC Institute is improving the lives of people with severe speech communication disabilities. Their success in life is determined in large part by their ability to communicate. While the AAC field has made significant progress over the past three decades, much remains to be done. We maintain a long list of projects awaiting the resources to address them. You can contribute to the effort in different ways.

Time and Talents
The AAC Institute depends on volunteer effort for much of the Institute program activity. If you have an interest in the mission of the AAC Institute and have time and talents to contribute, please contact us. Contact the Executive Director if you wish to pursue this. Also, you can support the Institute simply by using the services available, such as contributing language samples to the Language Sample Library, keeping your university AAC listing current, etc. Please direct others to this resource.

Financial Support
Some projects and activities require financial support. Click here to learn about AAC Institute financial needs. Since the AAC Institute is organized as a 501c3 not-for-profit charitable organization, financial donations are tax deductible. Please contact the AAC Institute Treasurer to learn about various alternatives for making a financial contribution to the Institute mission.
