Description:
This two-day workshop will cover federal and state requirements regarding assistive technologies for students with disabilities, in addition to capacity-building strategies for curriculum integration. Highlighted areas of discussion will include: • Legislation • Guiding Principles • SETT Framework • National Resources • QIAT Matrices Each team/participant will develop a Professional Action Plan targeting assistive technology needs, goals, and objectives for the upcoming school year with the assistance of state and national leaders in assistive technology.

Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:

1. Identify strategies, tools and resources for providing access to printed material for struggling readers
2. Provide hands-on practice with tools and resources identified in workshop sessions
3. Discuss specific student profiles with possible research based intervention strategies
4. Correlate strategies with data collection options
