Description:
This is the sixth annual Symposium on AAC Evidence-Based Practice. AAC professionals, families, and consumers gathered to discuss the role of AAC evidence-based practice in contributing to the educational goals of students who use AAC. Viewpoints of various stakeholders were presented using plenary session lectures and breakout sessions in which practical ideas were shown.

Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:
1. locate and direct others to resources for supporting the development of literacy and language for individuals who use AAC.
2. discuss ways to build language skills in students who use AAC within everyday classroom curriculum activities.
3. identify methods, tools and resources for supporting and documenting language growth in individuals who use AAC.

The 2007 Symposium on AAC Evidence-Based Practice is approved for up to 0.8 CEUs and up to 7.58 ACT 48 hours.
