Description:
This afternoon session is a set of presentations by ATIA (Assistive Technology Industry Association) AAC system manufacturers. Presenters will provide information on how to address specific AAC clinical service delivery issues relative to education, employment and independent living. Participants will be provided with various resources valuable for selecting and implementing AAC solutions. This activity is associated with Augmentative Communication Evaluations Simplified: Tools & Resources.

 

Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:
1) Identify a variety of communication devices and the contact persons/manufacturers.

2) List funding options for their locale.

3) Name resources on the web to assist in researching and training for AAC devices.

CEUs
