2009 STATEWIDE ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY PRE-CONFERENCE AND CONFERENCE

Description: The second annual INDATA statewide assistive technology conference will provide a variety of training and networking opportunities for people in Indiana who are interested in assistive technology. The conference will include 20 educational sessions, 50 exhibitors, a keynote address, and awards ceremony and countless opportunities for people in the field of assistive technology to network. Educational sessions are divided into four tracks, all focusing on assistive technology, including: Education, Employment, and Independent Living and Aging.

Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:

1. Identify new and innovative AT products.

2. Utilize new, local and national resources in the area of AT.

3. Become familiar with adaptive devices designed to assist people with particular types of diabilities including vision impairment, mobility impairment, autism and age-related challenges.

4. Discuss issues related to the AT industry.
