Description:
This is the seventh annual Symposium on AAC Evidence-Based Practice. AAC professionals, families, and consumers gathered to discuss the role of AAC evidence-based practice in contributing to the life goals of individuals who use AAC. Viewpoints of various stakeholders will be presented using plenary session lectures and breakout sessions in which practical ideas are shown.Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:
1. locate and direct others to resources for supporting the development of life plans for individuals who use AAC.
2. discuss ways to build life skills in individuals who use AAC within everyday activities.
3. identify methods, tools and resources for supporting and documenting language growth in individuals who use AAC.
