Description:
The 12th Assistive Technology Summer Institute – Tomorrow in the Saguaro’s “Cool Tools” emphasized the integration of assistive technology into key aspects of daily life. This state wide assistive technology conference offered the latest information on assistive technology products and applications for education, employment and independent living. Dr. Christina Whalen, was the Keynote Speaker.  Featured speakers included well respected AT Specialist such as Janis Nicol, Anthon McLaws, Laurel Richardson, Jodi Lindstrom amongst others.

Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:

1- Understand the critical role assistive technology plays in enhancing current student/client performance and long-term positive outcomes including achievement of educational goals and successful transition to post secondary environments for students and other individuals with disabilities.

2- Improve attitudes, knowledge, and skills for integrating assistive technology into their  work with persons with disabilities
