Why are job descriptions important – even in very small organizations? They facilitate the alignment of positions with the mission of the program. They form the basis for market-based compensation (and compliance with the IRS if you’re a nonprofit.) They facilitate the recruitment of people with the desired education, skills and experience. With the use of a straightforward questionnaire, we’ll help you design job descriptions that meet those needs and that can be transformed into performance management evaluations.

Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:

1. Understand the need for job descriptions and performance evaluations

2. Be able to prepare professional job descriptions using a simple questionnaire to gather information

3. Be able to transform the job description into a customized performance evaluation form for the position
