This webinar will share an overview of the National Leadership Summit on Emergency Management and AT Reuse in Washington D.C. on Feb 23 - 25, 2010. This meeting brought together national leaders in emergency management and stakeholders in assistive technology (AT) and disability. The group explored how reutilization of AT can be integrated into emergency planning and response to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities involved in disasters. We will discuss the meeting goals and how the Pass It On Center plans to integrate the outcomes in our next steps.

Also, Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC) Executive Director, Chris Brand will discuss their collaboration with Portlight Strategies, Inc., along with AT/DME donations from across the country, have provided some relief in Haiti. Their work is still very much in progress and we need to continue to spread the word!

Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:

1. Receive an overview of the National Leadership Summit in D.C.
         

2.  Find out the next steps of Emergency Management from the PIOC perspective and on a national level
         

3.  Receive an update on Haiti relief efforts
