Join us for Celebrating Independence! Learn about Assistive Technology (AT), Funding Resources and Your Independent Living Rights! We will be celebrating independent living and the 20th anniversary of the ADA. This event will share information on Independent Living, AT for employment, how employers can receive tax benefits and demonstrate AT to be used while at work. We will also discuss funding and resources such as the Benefits Navigator Program and The Center for Financial Independence & Innovation/Credit-Able..Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:1. Participants will learn how AT can assist those with disabilities to be more independent at home, work, school or in the community.
2. Participants will learn about available funding resources for AT and living independently.
3. Participants will learn about community resources and their rights for the independent living community.
