Exploring High Tech Eye Gaze Access for Communication

This 60 minute course is intended to be an interactive hands-on demonstration and discussion of the software and hardware features of the IntelliGaze speech generating device (SGD), as well as individual's communication skills and needs.             

Learning objectives for participants:

1.) Participants will demonstrate basic use of the IntelliGaze, including positioning, calibrations and selection of dwell time for eye gaze access.

2.) Participants will determine appropriate size and number of locations for messages based on eye gaze control and cognition.

3.) Participants will determine appropriate communication profiles based on different individuals' speech and language needs.

This workshop is approved for up to 0.1 CEUs.
