Description:
Create your own eBooks for the iPad! Learn how to add recorded sound, video, work with your own images, which eBook Readers contain text to speech capability, how to keep your page formatting intact, as well as using free online ePub programs to publish your books in eBook format. Demonstrations using a variety of apps for the iPad to create your own eBooks right on the device, and a look at what iBooks Author can do. Learn the differences between eBook Readers, downloading and importing free books from the web, as well as moving files from your comptuer to eBook Readers on iPad and more. What programs can I create with what apps will play them and how do I move them on or off the devices!

Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will learn:

1. How to utilize apps on the iPad as well as iBook Author on the Macintosh to create eBooks

2. How to import an eBook onto the iPad or Nook into eBook Readers

3. How to utilize free online eBook publishing services.
