Information for Activity Organizers
AAC Institute provides the service of administering CEUs for various activities. AAC Institute has been authorized to provide CEUs by IACET (International Association for Continuing Education and Training). CEUs can be offered for all learning activities. Each hour of instruction equates to 0.1 CEU.
An Internet-based CEU record system is in testing and is expected to become active soon. Until then, a semi-automated system is in use. With this system, activity participants go to a web site (www.aacinstitute.org/CEUs) and locate the activity in which they are a participant. If the activity is a variable credit activity (such as a conference where attendees can choose from a variety of sessions, or an activity where attendees are likely to not attend all sessions), they download a session attendance form in .xls format. They complete the form, save it, and email it to ceus@aacinstitute.org. Their email address is checked against a registration list provided by the activity organizer. A certificate reflecting the activity and CEUs earned is generated and emailed to participants. Participants are also asked to complete an evaluation form.
Activity organizers must request that AAC Institute administer CEUs prior to the activity. Activity organizers must provide the following to ceus@aacinstitute.org:
