2009 Symposium on AAC Evidence-Based Practice

Entering a State of Independence:
AAC, Evidence and Empowerment

The seventh annual symposium was attended by a wide range of AAC stakeholders, including families, consumers, and AAC professionals with standing room only. Among the highlights was the active participation by people who use AAC who shared their perspectives on the transition to independence. Information on the program can be found at http://www.aacinstitute.org/Symposium.

In place of the Parents' Corner this month, Here is the symposium program with links to materials that were used by presenters. Additional downloads are anticipated so please return to the site. Stay tuned for an announcement on next year’s Symposium..
