LAMterm

(Language Activity Monitor terminal program)

LAMterm is software to facilitate the uploading of LAM data from an AAC system to a PC. LAMterm uses the computer serial port. For computers with USB ports and no serial port, inexpensive adapters are commonly available. The LAMterm program download is 128K. The recommendation is that it be placed in the AAC Institute folder inside the Program Files folder on the C drive in your computer.

The current version was last updated in October 2007. The update consisted of expansion of the COM port options to COM 1 - COM 8). Operation of LAMterm is straightforward. However, if questions arise, please direct them to support@aacinstitute.org. Frequently asked questions will become the basis for a future section of this area of the AAC Institute web site.

There is no cost for downloading and using LAMterm. To the degree possible, AAC Institute products and services are provided without cost. Those who are in a position to make donations to support AAC Institute initiatives are encouraged to do so. For United States donors, contributions are deductible.
